Hyrule is revered for its magical legends and folklore stories. They center around fantasy and spiritual heroism. One popular story being about the Light and Dark Era. This story is about the dark spirits that roamed the lands causing terror and death, then there was a war with the Dark and Light Spirits, and in the end the Light Spirits caught the Dark ones and caged them under a Spirit Tower. Also, the national religion is Catholicism, but the people are free to exercise their own faiths. Many of the people believe in the divine spirits of dragons and other mythological creatures, no matter what religion they follow.



The most popular dish served is called Shrimp on the Barbie.


½ cup of melted butter

¼ cup olive oil

¼ cup minced fresh herbs parsley and thyme

3 tbs fresh lemon juice

3 large garlic crushed cloves

1 tbs minced shallot

Salt and pepper

1 and a half pounds unpeeled shrimp

Spinach leaves (to garnish)

Lemon slice to garnish


Combine the first 8 ingredients in a large bowl

Mix in the shrimp

Marinate at room temp. for an hour

Or in the refrigerator for 5 hours, stirring occasionally

Prepare the barbecue with medium hot coals

Thread the shrimp on narrow skewers

Grill until just opaque, so about 2 minutes per side

Line platter with spinach and the lay the lemon on the finished shrimp

Traditional attire in Hyrule for women is a long dress lightly coloured dress with intricate patterns along the bottom of the dress with long hair and the women also sported plenty of jewelry.
